LSU's daily newspaper, The Reville, has done a feature on Purple Monkey (screen printer for dope.) in today's issue. They discuss they're start, the origin of the company name and mention dope. as well as Revolutionary Rascals, and they're new college mascot line, Freshies.
Here's an exerpt:

"The DOPE line is satirical and plays on the way drugs are presented in our society, Shoemaker said. The first time you see it, you think it's pro-drug," Shoemaker said. "But the more you know[the artist] and her style, you know it's satire."

Photographer Rober Wiles, captured Evelyn McHale after she'd leapt from the Empire State Building to her death on May 1, 1947. Her body had been untouched and the scene untampered with, when the picture was taken, but yet it looks as though she's only sleeping. Pretty damn cool, huh? Or no? Andy Warhol featured the photo in his print "Suicide (Fallen Body)", so at least he agreed with me.
